You’ll need to be a “techie” when it comes to communication technology and have the right enthusiasm and skills to help our clients make their stories relevant, inspiring and compelling.
You will be joining a small, fast-paced, creative video production company – which is growing quickly. Colab is built on 15 years filmmaking experience coupled with a strong foundation of client relationships and thinking differently to stand out and be seen.
We produce videos for businesses, charities and community groups, whilst also collaborating with education partners to share their knowledge through video.
Skills and attributes required:
~ To demonstrate commercial experience through a video portfolio and showreel from previous clients or employers
~ Ability to gain respect, trust and confidence of the team, partners and clients
~ Proven track record of working in a commercial video production process
~ It is essential to be able to utilise the 4K Sony video equipment and Adobe Creative Suite software to produce engaging and effective productions
~ A thorough understanding of commercial project management, client management, storyboarding, video capture, editing and distribution of digital video
~ A professional attitude and flexible working approach is essential
~ Serious interest in cutting-edge technologies and video storytelling
Video Producer Duties:
~ Project Management – Liaising with clients, organising shooting schedules, crew logistics and equipment
~ Pre-production planning
~ Managing a small team of staff and freelancers
~ Preparing and operation 4K production equipment for video shoots
~ Video editing using the Adobe Creative Suite
~ Location work – managing shoots, lighting, setting up shots and scenes, filming live video and audio mixing, autocue, camera and tracking operation
~ Conceptualise, develop and manage video projects for commercial clients and internally
The role will include working full-time from our studio in North West Leicestershire, as well as some late nights/early starts and occasional weekends whilst travelling to and working on location around the UK, primarily in the Midlands.
