Collaborating with Rock Kitchen Harris to make Taylor Wimpey proud of our video storytelling
What We Did.
For over 15 years, our MD, Dan has been collaborating with Rock Kitchen Harris a national PR advertising agency to tell Taylor Wimpey stories on video, one of the UK’s largest and most respected house builders.
In 2019, Colab became the video production partner in Taylor Wimpey’s national ‘Proud’ campaign, collaborating with Rock Kitchen Harris to visit new homeowners, staff and community partners.
For Taylor Wimpey’s ‘Proud’ campaign, Rock Kitchen Harris wanted to capture the trials and tribulations of homeowners and demonstrate how the home builder goes that extra mile to deliver beyond expectation. In order to share a wide variety of personal stories and positive experiences, the project had to range far and wide across the UK, which meant it needed to be tightly managed and well-organised if the production was to be delivered on time.
Colab’s initial contribution to the ‘Proud’ campaign spanned a period of several months, gathering 26 stories from people who feel a sense of pride working with Taylor Wimpey.
This included residents like first-time buyers Josh and his partner, to staff members like Gill who works as a Sales Executive for Taylor Wimpey.
Our filming also showcased the culture and heritage of the surrounding areas in which each new housing development was sited, often meeting existing neighbours to demonstrate the warmth of the community that new homeowners were joining.
In our true collaborative style we managed the demands of distance and time throughout the project as a team, working together to ensure a seamless schedule and watertight plan was in place even when filming back-to-back or over weekends.
The ‘Proud’ campaign was so successful that we have continued to create other explainer videos and social content to continue sharing Taylor Wimpey’s positive impact.
We were also commissioned by Rock Kitchen Harris for Taylor Wimpey’s wider marketing campaign, creating promotional content such as aerial footage and a series of quirky life-hack videos for distribution over Taylor Wimpey’s YouTube and social media channels.
