De Montfort University (DMU) is globally renowned for its impactful research, but they wanted to bring it to life beyond academic circles. Through a powerful video series, we helped them translate complex research into compelling stories that connect with everyone.
DMU’s research excellence is already recognised by academics worldwide. However, to attract the next generation of students, staff, and commercial partners, they needed to make their work more visual and emotionally engaging for a wider audience. In a competitive industry, the university wanted to go beyond prospectus promises and provide authentic proof of the incredible difference it makes to the world.
We collaborated with several of DMU’s research institutes to produce a series of videos, each one shining a light on a different area of world-class research.
From cyber security to sexual health and homelessness to Shakespeare, we immersed ourselves in their work. Each film featured the real academics, students, and industry voices behind the research, balancing academic accuracy with creative flair to tell a powerful story.
These videos have transformed how DMU communicates its impact, shifting from technical documentation to powerful, human-centred storytelling. Prospective students and partners can now see and feel the university’s vision in action, gaining a clear, emotional understanding of its values and world-changing work.
